​​FareShare North East and Nourish Food School have teamed up to run a variety of practical cooking programmes for North East charities, community groups, and the people that these groups support.

There are three ways we can help you:

OPEN DAYS for Community groups

If you are working or volunteering in an organisation that receives food from FareShare North East, register for one of our joint Open Days below to find out more about how FareShare North East works and how Nourish Food School can help your group! The day includes a FareShare North East site tour, lunch, cooking skills workshop, and a surplus food cook-off.

 

COOKING CLASSES for individuals

You can register below for one our Free cookery courses sponsored by FareShare North East. These are 8 week courses for anyone needing to master the basics or get more inspiration on what to do with low cost ingredients. The courses are open to anyone on a low wage or with no wage. These courses follow the Jamie Oliver Ministry of Food Programme.

If you want to simply Give It A Go before committing to a full 8 week course then check out the dates we have for one-off here

We are keen to deliver our cooking courses closer to FareShare North East's users. If you have a suitable space and enough demand from your members why not get in touch to see if we can deliver a Fareshare North East cooking course at your venue.

    Jamie Oliver's Ministry of Food course for residents of Denton & Westerhope is back. This is an 8 week cookery course taking place once per week on Wednesday mornings. Each class last for 1.5 hours and is perfect for beginners and those looking to learn to cook from scratch with healthy ingredients.
